If your LG Smart TV is just turned on, it may take up to 2 minutes to connect wirelessly. Ensure your physical remote is working properly to allow the connection.
Case 1. Can't find your TV:
1. Ensure that your TV and mobile phone are connected to the same Wi-Fi network with a stable connection.
2. Check if Local Network Permission is enabled for the app in your phone's settings.
3. If the issue persists, restart the TV and app.
4. If the issue persists, clear all external devices connected to the TV:
Go to All Settings > Network > LG Connect Apps > Disconnect All Connections > Yes.
Case 2. Found your TV but cannot connect:
1. Reset your TV to initial installation by going to Settings > All Settings > General > Reset to Initial Settings
2. Turn your TV off and on again, then connect the TV
3. When connecting your phone to your TV for the first time, type in the code displayed on your TV screen to allow permission to control and cast media.
*Tips: To avoid being prompted for permission every time, configure your TV settings to request permission only for the first time connecting an external device.
